Dentures in Bali: Full, Partial and Implant-Supported Options

Dentures replace missing teeth and restore your ability to chew, speak and smile with confidence. At Uluwatu Dental Care (UDC) in Ungasan, dentures are made after a careful bite registration and a try-in, and adjusted until they are comfortable, rather than being delivered in one rushed visit.

Types of dentures

  • Full dentures: replace all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw.
  • Partial dentures: replace some teeth and clip onto the ones you keep. They come in acrylic or in flexible valplast.
  • Implant-retained dentures: clip onto dental implants for extra stability, placed by our specialist. See dental implants.

What to expect

Dentures usually take 3–4 visits over 1–2 weeks: assessment and impressions, a try-in to check shape, shade and comfort, delivery of the finished denture, and a follow-up adjustment as your gums settle. Some soreness in the first days is normal, and we adjust any pressure spots at your follow-up. Please tell us your travel dates when you book so the visits fit your stay.

Living with dentures

  • Clean them daily with a soft brush and non-abrasive cleaner.
  • Follow your dentist’s advice on removing them at night.
  • Start with soft foods, then build up as you adjust.
  • Have them checked as your gums change over time, since a relined or remade denture may be needed.

Dentures or implants?

Dentures are the most economical way to replace several teeth and need no surgery. Implants cost more and need two trips, but feel more secure and protect the jawbone. A middle path is a denture that clips onto a small number of implants. We will go through the options at your free consultation. See also bridges.

How long does it take to get dentures?
